It's absolutely worthless.
I downloaded it during a recent free trial. It is pure garbage. Documentation does not exist. Instructions consist of click the Find Now! button. The web site claims it uses their algorithm to find duplicates, but fails to tell you what algorithm they are using. It's not MD5, SHA1, or SHA256, because those would work. The only Options users can select are file types to scan, size ranges to scan, drives and folders to scan, and whether to include system and hidden files. I decided to run a test. I downloaded a couple of small files multiple times to the same folder. The folder contained a bunch of other files too. I set the Duplicate File Finder Plus to scan all file types and sized. I selected the folder to scan and clicked the Find Now! button. It ran for a short time and returned results. The results alternate between blue and green print for each successive group of duplicates. It did list several sets of files, but none of the test files appeared.
Pros: It installed, that's about all I can say for it.
Cons: Finding all duplicates.
Options to select what algorithm is used to compare files.
Documentation.
Files should be compared by size first then hashed using MD5, SHA1, SHA256 or any combination of those algorithms for duplicate size files.
